The flare burner unit can be used to burn off any gas from LPG pipes or vessels and natural gas where direct vented gas could cause a problem, due to smell or environmental concerns.

The unit contains a continuously rated high voltage transformer (fed from 110V source) that provides a continuous spark for ignition of the flame. This is particularly important when the gas is being purged with air or nitrogen and the gas concentration falls below 50%. It is normal to uses a 110V safety supply/transformer.

The burner head is mounted approximately 2.5m above the ground level and in most conditions will not cause a hazard to persons nearby. However, its use is not recommended in gusting winds.

The flare unit is mounted in a vinyl coated wooden and aluminium framed purge box that provides a stable base on firm ground conditions. The Flare Assembly consists of three vertical 15mm steel pipes connected with brass or stainless steel unions and a valved section containing an in-line flame arrestor.

Supplied with either 5m long natural gas hose or 10m long LPG hose
