The flare burner unit can be used to burn off any
gas from LPG pipes or vessels and natural gas where direct vented
gas could cause a problem, due to smell or environmental concerns.
The unit contains a continuously rated high voltage
transformer (fed from 110V source) that provides a continuous spark
for ignition of the flame. This is particularly important when the
gas is being purged with air or nitrogen and the gas concentration
falls below 50%. It is normal to uses a 110V safety supply/transformer.
The burner head is mounted approximately 2.5m above the ground
level and in most conditions will not cause a hazard to persons
nearby. However, its use is not recommended in gusting winds.
The flare unit is mounted in a vinyl coated wooden and aluminium
framed purge box that provides a stable base on firm ground conditions.
The Flare Assembly consists of three vertical 15mm steel pipes connected
with brass or stainless steel unions and a valved section containing
an in-line flame arrestor.
Supplied with either 5m long natural gas hose or 10m long LPG hose
Pressure breakdown assemblies are also
available for use with this unit
.The flare unit can be supplied as an intergrated assembly with
